Meridian Therapy
Meridian Therapy seeks to measure the energy level of each of the 12 bi-lateral organ meridians. To accomplish this, we utilize the Meridian Energy Analysis System (MEAS). The source points located on the wrists and ankles are used to take these measurements. Of all the acupoints on the body, these points are the best for this analysis because this is where energy from the body exits closest to the surface of the skin. The result of this analysis tells us if your organ meridians need attention. The MEAS will recommend acupoints to balance your meridians. We suggest the MEAS analysis be done at the initial visit, quarterly, and after an injury.

Here at New Trail Health Center, we utilize the same acupoints that are used in traditional acupuncture. However, we do not use needles as we prefer acupressure. We would rather avoid the risks associated with puncturing the skin, such as infections.

In addition to the MEAS Analysis, we also provide several different forms of acutherapy that are used for the treatment of a variety of issues:

Body Acutherapy > With this approach, we use the acupoints found in traditional acupuncture. We frequently refer to a formula book that addresses many common conditions.

Hand Acutherapy > There are several conditions that can be addressed on the hands. It is quite simply a "this point for that condition" type of approach. Very powerful, rapid results are often achieved using this method.

Ear Acutherapy > This is one of our favorite therapies. We have seen very positive results from the stimulation of ear acupoints. Many body parts and conditions can be treated because the ear is a micro-system that represents the entire body.

Cerebral Acutherapy > This method does not use points but rather "zones" on the skull to treat a variety of different issues.
When this therapy is combined with ear acutherapy, very strong positive results can be achieved.
